HETRAHeartland Equine Theraputic Riding AcademyWhere Miracles Happen Every Day

imageAt HETRA we work with students with a variety of disabilities including cerebral palsy, hearing impairments, down syndrome, head injuries, autism, and developmental delays. Our students range in age from 2 years old to adults. Some students have been riding with our program for 12 years or longer. Parents often report that their child looks forward to their riding session all week often asking each morning if it is their day to ride the horses. Currently students ride one time per week for 30 minutes at a time.
