Team Dalton Volunteers:
- Katie has been volunteering with HETRA for about 2 and a half years. ”I volunteer because I love working with the kids and adults. I love to see them smile and laugh and just have an awesome time. My favorite part about being a volunteer is watching the progress they make and seeing them learn. It is really exciting when you are able to see how much progress they make through HETRA. I chose to help Dalton because I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with him one on one a lot and he goes to my school. He is an awesome kid and has a very unique personality that makes him one of a kind. He is really sweet and outgoing! I love working with him and seeing his smile when he gets on Tuff. He has definitly made a lot of progress which is really awesome!”
- Maggie – “I started voluteering at HETRA this January because my son, who has Asperger’s syndrome, wanted to volunteer so he could spend time with horses. Whitney convinced me to sign up as well since I was going to be driving him anyway. I’ve come to love going to HETRA on Saturdays so I can not only spend time with the horses but have an amazing time hanging out with the clients. Watching Dalton come in to the barn so excited for his chance to ride Tuff is an absolute joy. It puts a smile on my face every week! Watching him ride as an independent rider is so cool & I can see how it really helps him to focus on the task at hand. I am super excited to be able to help him out with this fundraising effort. GO DALTON!!!”
